Pursuant to articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (GDPR):

The Independent Power Transmission Operator S.A. (IPTO) currently conducts a tender process for the sale of 20% of the share capital of its subsidiary ARIADNE INTERCONNECTION S.P.S.A. (Ariadne) A copy of invitation to submit an Expression of Interest (which was made public on the 4th of August 2022) is available on IPTO’s website (https://www.admie.gr/).

In the course of it, the potential bidders will be granted access to a virtual data room (the VDR), containing information on Ariadne and the financial, technical and legal characteristics of the project of the Electrical Interconnection between Attica and Crete, in order for the potential bidders to perform their own due diligence.

The VDR will contain all material agreements which are relative to Ariadne’s business, corporate structure and financing. Such documents will include indicatively the concession agreement between IPTO and Ariadne dated 10 April 2020 as amended, construction contracts for the realization of the project of the Electrical Interconnection between Attica and Crete, loan agreements of Ariadne, corporate resolutions of Ariadne as well as relative decisions of the competent regulatory authorities with respect to the project of the Electrical Interconnection between Attica and Crete (the Documents). 

The present notice is addressed to all individuals who have been involved until today in any of the following ways with Ariadne:

• Current or former employees of Ariadne

• Current or former employees of IPTO who have interacted with Ariadne in the course of the realization of the project of the Electrical Interconnection between Attica and Crete

• Current or former Members of the Board of Directors of Ariadne and IPTO

• Current or former advisors of Ariadne (or employees of such advisors of Ariadne)

• Current or former employees of contractors, involved in the project of the Electrical Interconnection between Attica and Crete

• Current of former staff of the competent public Greek or European authorities which were involved in any way in the project of the Electrical Interconnection between Attica and Crete

(hereinafter all the above shall be referred to as the Data Subjects)

The Documents to be uploaded to the VDR -may contain the following categories of personal data relating to the Data Subjects:

• Names

• ID number/Passport number

• VAT number

• Date of birth

• Business title

• Phone numbers

• Email addresses

• Residence

(hereinafter all the above shall be referred to as the Personal Data)

The Personal Data will be provided to the potential bidders, participating in the second phase of the tender process who may share them with their professional advisors as well as providers of financing for the requirements of the acquisition of the Ariadne shares.

The abovementioned recipients will maintain the Personal Data for the duration of the tender process. Such processing will be necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interest pursued by IPTO.

IPTO would like to draw the attention of the Data Subjects to the existence of their rights under the GDPR, including their right to have access to their personal data.
